MTNL has launched new prepaid 3G data pack of Rs.999 in Mumbai. The pack offers 30 days of unlimited 3G data usage. Other operators also provide unlimited 3G data plans where speed is reduced to 2G after fair usage limit.

India’s wireless subscriber base has crossed 886.30 mn with total new additions of 5.16mn customers in the month of Dec’13. Total base including wireless and wireline has increased from 910.14 mn in Nov’13 to 915.19 mn in Dec’13. Vodafone garnered highest net additions in Dec’13 with 2.3 mn new customers followed by Airtel with 1.8mn and Aircel with 1.6 mn
