BSNL introduces new 2G prepaid plan ‘Nestham’ in Andhra Pradesh .
State run telecom PSU BSNL has introduced a new prepaid plan ‘ Nestham’ for 2G customers in AP circle.BSNL has added more than seventy six thousand new GSM mobile customers to reach to the base of total of more than 44 lakh GSM mobile customers in the circle in the month of June 2010. BSNL’s new plan comes with numerous freebies but the most interesting feature that stands out is ‘friends and family’ .Although all companies offer friends and family benefit in one form or the other but what is different in this pack is that it allows prepaid customers to add numbers of other local networks in the group. Generally such plans offer customers to add numbers of the same company to form a group but this is for the first time that any company is allowing prepaid customers to add numbers of other company to be a part of group on which call rates are substantially lower than normal call charges. The plan allows maximum five numbers for the group which could be from any network from Andhra Pradesh. Calls to group numbers are just 10p/min for local BSNL numbers and 30p/min for other local networks. Charges for number change is Rs 5 per number.
Neshtham plan comes with a new SIM of Rs 20 and first recharge coupon of Rs 29 along lifetime validity and per second billing . Talktime of Rs 50 is provided in this plan which has validity of 30 days Call charges to BSNL numbers across India is 1/sec and for all other networks it is 1.2p/sec These rates are also effective while roaming , making it quite lucrative for national roamers also.
In order to make it more attractive free 2000 local and national SMS are also being offered till 31st Aug along with validity of 30 days. Apart from these, customers will also enjoy 200 SMS per month and enticing SMS charges of 50p for local and 60p for national SMS. This SIM allows all types of special tariff vouchers
