Many people keep asking me which phone to purchase If i have a budget of Rs.8000 to 9000 and I always recommend them this phone Samsung Monte 3G S5620.The reasons why I love this phone are:
- Stylish ,sleek, good looking touchphone. Look & design wise, In my opinion Samsung Phones are the best
- It’s a 3G phone, not only 3G but more than that HSDPA or 3.5G phone.It means it can give download speed of upto 3.6 Mbps and upload speed of upto 384 Kbps if you use 3G HSDPA connection.
- Over and above that it has wi-fi which Samsung Star 3G and Samsung Metro do not have.Having wi-fi,HSDPA,touchscreen phone in the budget of Rs.8500 is a great deal.Isn’t that?
- It also has A GPS (Google maps/latitude) and Bluetooth A2DP(Samsung Star 3G doesn’t have both).Bluetooth A2DP enables one to use wireless A2DP headphones.
- It has much bigger touchscreen of 3.0 inches TFT capacitive with 262K colours.Viewing videos on this big phone is real delight.Once 3G becomes prevalent ,watching Mobile Tv and Youtube videos in landscape mode will be real delight.people would be seen watching cricket matches live flocked around the phone just in the manner as earlier used to when small portable TVs arrived in India in early eighties.
- The media support is decent with audio playback in MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA formats and video in MPEG4, H.263, H.264. The addition of a 3.5mm audio jack is pleasant.

Nokia C5 beats this phone hands down, both in features, and in price.
It supports internet upto 10.2 Mbps, has 600 Mhz processor, Awesome battery etc
c5 does n0t have wifi. . .toucscreen. . .big screen. . .audio quility worst but its 10.6mbbs awsum. . .c5 look wise very bad phone. .if u want style and music lover toucscreen you never go wid c5
Man,this is best phone.no brand can give so many features at such a low price.if it comes to nokia ,the phone which can be compared to this is 5800 but it costs about 13,800,while monte only 9,100.

Yes. it does support flash players. you tube videos can be watched seamlessly with 3G connectivity.
As per review of GSM arena samsung Monte S5620 cant play you tube videos or any other videos either due to memory mismanagement of Low ram. Is it True? if its true i need to change my plan to purchase this handset.

which company sim connection should i use for the best 3g services & live tv. for my samsung monte.
It depends how many companies have launched 3G service in your area. We have tested BSNL,MTNL and Reliance and they all work fine. But price wise MTNL and BSNL will stand out.
You can download youtube app on your mobile or go youtube.com from your browser. For mobile tv you can subscribe to mobile tv from BSNL or MTNL. For Samsung mobile it comes via streaming link.

try using APN: bsnlstream and set the same for your media player also. And get the streaming link by sending sms MY3GTV to 55447

please everyone read this— samsung monte s-5620 is a very-very nice mobile, download opera mini to use fast internet its really fast. trust me it runs mobile tv also. use docomo connection for tv, but first u need to send MOBILE TV to 53333. after that u will recieve a url link. just open that one and u will find urself into mobile tv and now u can now subscribe to 99,30,& 15 rs packs and then enjoy dvd quality live tv viewing. if u have any problem then mail me on virendra_chauhan2007@yahoo.com

I am confused to go for nokia 5800 or monte.. does it play flv i.e. flash file. I mean can we watch online videos on monte. Any idea which third party can be downloaded. For example Symbian phone can download sis, sisx, jar. So which format can be downloaded with samsung monte? Plz reply.. I want to buy..
nokia 5800 is costly than monte. now monte is 7750 rs. monte plays only youtube videos and its flash player supports only youtube videos. u can watch online videos only on youtube videos and can watch mobile tv via sim connection.and only jar format files will beplayed on the monte. but 5800 has a good flash player which can play online stream videos depending on the speed of the internet. monte supports qvga format mp4 and 3gp. as i think u can buy samsung monte it is cheaper. and have all features like 5800.

I was in confusion whether to go for C5 or Samsung monte. Finally decided to relay on vendors recomendation who suggested me to get C5. I am very happy with this for last 2 monts. Lacks in WIFi which is really not needed. Processor speed is superb, EDGE Class 36 works sperb. so nicely that 3G is not needed for day to day functioning. Overall excellent handset from Nokia
no live tv software requires for this samsung monte. u just need only the internet connection and ur service provider’s apn address for the live tv streaming. i also have this phone and its great to watch live tv on this.
nokia c5 is a good phone but have some disadvantages. samsung monte is fully touch with big screen, WIFI works great. touch sensivity much better than nokia phones
Monte is a waste compared to Nokia C5.
Nokia C5 offers great GPS navigation where as in monte GPS is of no use.
Monte is not a smartphone and moreover my monte does’not plays any youtube.
No qwerty, bad web browser as you will not be able to open web sites because of memory fill error.
The list of drawbacks in monte is very long when it comes to comparision with C5.
Still i have not included all the issues related to Monte.

I am Anil From Nepal. I have Samsung Monte and would like to watch live cricket.When i go to cricket.org website and try to play live cricket, every time i get the message,that is i need a flash player . I downloaded but didn’t support.Please give me the solution.
I have purchased a Samsung Monte in December 2010.It plays neither mp4 nor flv not even all 3gps.The processor performs very bad;i.e it takes much much time in operation like simple move/copy etc.This is a java phone which is made by the J2ME technology.So naturally I heard that it does not support third party intruder apps.And my phone does not support to install any external apps.All the time it shows “not supported”.
I installed “DERA MOBILE ANTIVIRUS” while purchasing but even the vendors doesn’t know how the virus scanning is going on or either going at all.Choosing any option under virus scan shows error.
How can we see the IMEI number of Samsung Monte??In mine it always shows a complicated window with changing numbers…
Is it multitusking??coz if I want to forcibly stop virus scan it shows an option to minimize but never elsewhere in the phone….
