S Tel enhances its footprint in North East with the launch of its GSM services in Tripura, Nagaland and Meghalaya
S Tel, the youngest telecom player in the state of N East, has increased its presence in the state by introducing its services in Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya. It has started its GSM operations with towns including Agartala, Dimapur, Udaipur, Kumarghat, Ranir Bazar, Chumukedima, Jowai and Nongpoh. S Tel plans to introduce its services in 87 towns and over 26% of the population in the state by year end.S Tel in its endeavor to cater to the needs of its target segment has introduced product offerings that are simple, transparent and easy to understand with no hidden charges
. Some highlights of the tariffs include:
- Starter Pack of Rs.49 with 30 days validity. S Tel also offers per second plan (1 p/ 1 sec) with recharge of Rs. 6 only with the starter pack
- Limited Period Launch Offer – Full Talk Time on all top – up denominations. This is the first time that any operator has launched such an offer in the North East market.
S Tel offers a bouquet of competitively priced VAS on both, SMS and voice platform. It has innovative VAS services on offer for customers in North East such as S Tel Caller Tune, S Tel Voice Station and S Tel Premium SMS Service. Through these, a wide range of entertainment and information services can be availed. S Tel Caller Tune includes a database of more than 500 songs in local regional language. Voice services in NE includes services like Regional Songs, Career, Travel & Tourism, Local Recipes and Devotional Content from prominent religious places can also be availed. To continue with its focus on core regional offerings, the company will soon launch a regional voice portal. It will also shortly extend mobile commerce solutions such as railway & air ticketing, mobile wallet as well as innovative regional social networking platforms to its audience.
S Tel’s world class customer call centre will offer services in dialects of the region. With an aim to eliminate the pain points of the retailer, a unique initiative by S Tel, I-Care program, has been rolled out. Retailers also addressed as platinum customers can talk directly to the customer care agent without having to go through the IVR and can also expect their concerns to be resolved within 30 minutes of initiation of the call.
