Videocon GSM Mobile Services has extended its GSM network in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh circles. Videocon’s introduction of GSM services marks its foray into their 7th circle. Videocon is offering services in circles of Tamil Nadu, Mumbai, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala and Gujarat. Other circles which are going to catch Videocon’s ‘life ka signal’ are Himachal Pradesh, UP-E and UP-W. Videocon has a subscriber base of more than 19 lakh customers in its operational circles as on June 2010 which speaks for its success in gaining customer loyalty in this era of cut throat competition. Videocon envisages investments of around Rs 14,000 crores in Videocon Mobile Services over the next 3 years and plans an investment of around Rs. 1000 Crore in MP & Chattisgarh. The company will leverage a network of more than 2260 BTS at the time of launch to deliver superior services to subscribers across all major towns, national & state highways and important railway routes in the state. Underlining an aggressive roll out plan, Videocon Mobile Services targets to cover 100% of the urban population of MP & Chattisgarh and more than 30% of the rural population in subsequent months. The brand will have a retail presence in over 25000 outlets in MP & Chattisgarh from day 1 and plans to cover 50000 outlets within 6 months, offering easy access to customers across the state.
