Idea wins Best Brand Campaign Award at World Communication Awards 2011

No Idea,Get Idea campaign has proved to be a great idea from Idea cellular’s brand communication team and so is the “Break The language Barrier ” campaign. These campaigns have played a great role in enabling  Idea cellular gaining more than any other operator out of MNP in India [MNP Gainers & Loosers].

Now the effectiveness of these two campaigns have been ratified by World Communication Awards 2011 where Idea cellular has bagged award in Best Brand  Campaign category. World communication 2011 was held at London recently and the nominations were from all over the world from telecom & VAS companies. Idea Cellular is the only Indian company to win the award where the world’s big names from communication industry were nominated.

Idea won in the Best Brand Campaign of the year category for the above mentioned two campaigns. There were four other telecom brands from across the world competing in the category. The World communication awards recognize companies and individuals from telecommunication industry from across the world for innovation or any extraordinary work. This year total 78 companies and individuals were shortlisted in 18 categories.

Idea’s award winning brand campaign ‘Break the Language Barrier’, highlighted the effective usage of mobile telephony services to overcome language barriers that exist in the Indian multi-lingual society. The ‘No Idea, Get Idea’ campaign which was also recognized at WCA 2011 offered real-life reasons for switching to Idea’s network, at the time of the launch of Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in India. Both these campaigns reiterated Idea’s core philosophy of ‘championing’ ideas that have the potential to change lives, albeit within different contexts.
