Airtel offers 6GB data on 4G LTE for Rs.999 – launches 4G in India
Leading telecom major – Bharti Airtel today introduced India’s first 4G service in Kolkata. As reported earlier, the Airtel 4G network based on TD-LTE was inaugurated by Mr. Kapil Sibal, Hon’ble Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. Airtel 4G network will enable rich content, High Definition (HD) video streaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and much more. In 2010, Airtel had successfully bid for BWA license spectrum in Kolkata, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra (excluding Mumbai) circles. It is currently working towards rolling out state-of-the-art networks in circles other than Kolkata.
Airtel 4G Tariff plans in Kolkata
In Kolkata, Airtel will offer three 4G tariff plans for postpaid and prepaid customers. The plan “Break Free 999” will offer 6GB free data usage and speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps after free quota. Other two plans “Break Free Max 1399” and “Break Free Ultra 1999” will offer 9GB & 18GB free data usage respectively.
Airtel 4G Tariff (Introductory Offer for 60 days )
On the Rs.999 postpaid plan , customer will get a money-back for a value equivalent of one month’s rent, spread over first 6 bill cycles.
Customers will get a bill discount of Rs.167/bill for 6 bills.
On the Rs.1399 and Rs.1999 postpaid plans , customer will get a money-back for a value equivalent of two month’s rent, spread over first 6 bill cycles.
Customers will get a bill discount of Rs.466/ bill for 6 bills in case of Rs.1399 plan , and Rs.666 / bill for 6 bills in case of Rs.1999 plan
Airtel 4G indoor CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) with wifi will be available for Rs.7750, and Airtel 4G Multi Mode Dongle will cost Rs.7999.
