Samsung announces Galaxy Core with 4.3” display and 1.2 Ghz dual core processor

Samsung , known for its prolific smartphone portfolio, has announced a new member in its Galaxy series ‘ Samsung Galaxy Core’. It is a dual SIM smartphone with 4.3 inch touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixel resolution. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and is powered by 1.2 Ghz dual core processor. It sports 1 GB RAM , 8 GB internal memory and microSD support of 64.GB. It features 5 mega pixel back camera and front VGA camera, 1800 mAh battery, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0. Samsung Galaxy Core will also feature host  of advanced tools like Smart Stay, Smart Alert, Motion UI, and S Voice. It will be available in single and dual SIM versions depending on the markets.

Samsung  Galaxy Core will be available in two different versions – Single SIM from July or Dual SIM from May, depending on the markets.

  • Smart Stay’: Recognizes when a user is looking at the phone, and saves battery life when a user looks away by  dimming the screen and powering down using advanced facial recognition
  •  ‘Smart Alert’: Alerts the user to missed calls and messages when the device is picked up
  • Motion UI’: Activates common functions such as refresh or mute with simple motion commands
  •  ‘S Voice’: Provides voice command functionality
