Samsung announces water resistant Android smartphone ‘Galaxy S4 Active’

Samsung has announced the introduction of Galaxy S4 Active Android smartphone which incorporates the innovative features of its flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone with new capabilities of protection from dust and water.  Galaxy S4 Active is IP67 certified and it can remain submerged under water depth of one meter for a period of thirty minutes. It is also equipped with water resistant earphone to complement the protective features of the smartphone. Galaxy S4 Active  features a 5” full HD LCD display and is powered by 1.9 Ghz quad core processor. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and packs a 8 mega pixel rear camera , 2 mega pixel front camera.and 2600 mAh battery. It offers 2 GB RAM , 16 GB internal memory and microSD support of up to 64 GB. Galaxy S4 Active brings high speed internet access to the user with speed up to 42 Mbps and is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA, NFC, Wi-Fi etc. Samsung Galaxy S4 Active combines all the innovative features of Galaxy S4 such as S Travel, S Translator, Story Album, Group Play, Smart Pause , Air View, S Health and much more.

It comes with ‘Aqua Mode’ camera feature that enhances the visual quality and clarity for enhanced underwater images and video. Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will be available for purchase beginning this summer, with initial retail in the U.S. and Sweden. It will be offered in three different color options: Urban Grey, Dive Blue and Orange Flare.
