    MTNL has relaunched Weekly STD pack for prepaid mobile customers in Delhi circle. The weekly STD pack with MRP of Rs.55 gives free 150 STD minutes valid for 7 days. These free minutes can be used on any network in India . With this pack customers can make STD calls at effective rate of 37 paise. So the plan is good for heavy STD callers as it brings down the STD bill substantially. The customers can make any number of recharges without any restriction however the validity of coupons do not accumulate.

    To adjust the increase in service tax, MTNL has passed on the burden to customers by reducing the talkvalue in top up coupons. In the recent budget , Service tax has been increased from 10.3% to 12.36%. To cover up for this increase in service tax , MTNL has reduced the talkvalue in majority of the top up coupons without changing the denomination.
