How to connect Internet on Windows Mobile Phone using 3G / GPRS APN ?
Indian telecom space is currently dominated by Android smartphones but gradually handsets running Windows 8 Phones OS are also getting popular as Nokia has introduced slew of Windows 8 smartphones with its Lumia series. We feel users are struggling hard to connect their Windows Mobile Phone to Internet as Data settings are not user friendly. In this post we have covered Internet Data settings for Windows Mobile Phones using 3G / 2G APN.
First Click on Settings
Now choose access point
Here you either choose add button to create a new Access Point Network (APN) or edit the existing APN settings.
You can edit existing APN touching the active APN . Remember non-active APN will not provide edit option.
In this window You just need to insert connection name and Access Point Name (APN). Based on your operator you can insert the APN which is specific. Here we have demonstrated with MTNL APN . See the APN for other operators mentioned below. Save the settings .
Now go back and select Cellular data
Now select ‘ ON’ under data connection to start the data connectivity. If your roaming outside home network then you should also check data roaming options. Ans lastly if you can select 3G networks for higher speeds if you have 3G connection.
