Now you will not miss your favourite soaps,cricket match and other Tv programmes,when you are out of home for some work or travelling.MTNL has launched Mobile Tv which makes watching Live Tv on Mobile a reality.
Mobile Tv service is being offered to all prepaid &postpaid 2G / 3Gcustomers of MTNL.Currently there are forty channels and process is on to add many more. The customer need to download a mobile Tv application ,which can be downloaded by any of the two ways:
1.By sending SMS “MOBILETV” to 53388,a url link is sent by accessing the url
application can be downloaded.
2.From MTNL wap page http://wap.mtnlmumbai.in application can be downloaded.
The application gets downloaded in customers’ phone memory or memory card. MTNL MobileTV‟ folder gets installed in the main menu or any other
place depending on the handset model.
Charges :
1. All channels per Month: Rs 150 (Excluding Premium channels).
2. One channel per Month: Rs 50
3. One channel per Day: Rs10 (24 Hrs from the time of registration).
Currently the Application can be downloaded only on Nokia handset and very soon it can be downloaded on other handsets too.
In 2G mode the TV will play in “store and play‟ mode. A 3 minute video of the selected TV channel will be downloaded and play which will be repeated once the last clip is played.In 3G mode the TV will play continuously
