After the launch of Unlimited Calling facility from landline & combo landline plans from BSNL another state run telecom PSU MTNL has also decided to pass the benefit of reduced IUC to landline customers in Delhi and Mumbai circles.

Mobile Number Portability introduced in India and telecom services providers are busy in releasing TV commercials and MNP offers to attract more users. But, state-owned telecom PSU, MTNL has stated unique and appreciable ‘Number Retention Facility’ for its Landline customers in Mumbai circle. Earlier a customer shifting his house / office along with his MTNL landline phone use to new number. It was a painful and costly affair to broadcast the new number to all, and print new visiting card, letter heads etc. Now this facility will enable such customers to retain their old number and they will also get a new number in shifted area. Thus after shifting, customer will have two landline phone numbers terminated on newly shifted landline and he will not miss a single important call.
